Company Background

Digital Data Services, Inc. was established in 1998 when founders David Carter and Scott Carter developed, MapFinder, a software application used to locate USGS maps and USGS digital map products. In October of 2000, the founders decided to dedicate their time exclusively on growing the business, and with a $10,000 investment, quit their full-time positions to do so.

The key personnel at DDS have extensive experience in the conversion of paper documents into digital files. Since 1992, we have been involved in the conversion of hard copy documents to raster images or CAD and GIS files. Although most of the business is focused on mapping and map products, DDS also performs data conversion work in the fields of facilities management, architecture, and mechanical, electrical and civil engineering. Our knowledge of different software applications and disciplines allows us to provide specialized, proficient services to a broad market.
