Digitize Engineering Drawings

Pupose:

Digitize paper engineering drawings and schematics into AutoCAD format utilizing client supplied standards.

Processes/Services:

Scan source documents at 400DPI. Import and scale images into AutoCAD. Using on-screen-digitizing methods, digitize only the features requested by the client using their supplied CAD standards. Features layered and symbolized per standards.

Digital Elevation Model Creation

Client:

Premier Data Services

Pupose:

Create Digital Elevation Model (DEM) of Banks Lake bathometric features for use with the Columbia Basin Project. The Columbia Basin is a multipurpose development utilizing a portion of the resources of the Columbia River in the central part of the State of Washington.

Processes/Services:

Scan 26 paper documents including US Army Corp. of Engineers maps and historic USGS topographic maps. Georeference maps to real-world coordinate system. Digitize and attribute contours. Grid contours using ESRI's ArcInfo to create elevation model.

USGS DEM

Paper to Digital Conversion

Client:

Schwanewede / Halls Engineering

Pupose:

Convert 75 physically damaged, hand-drawn, site plans to a CAD perfect file ready for use by the Project Engineer.

Processes/Services:

Prepare and scan source documents. The next step was to georeference the site plan using control points and coordinates shown on document. On-screen or “heads-up” digitizing was performed on the image to create a properly layered AutoCAD drawing.
