EDCON-PRJ, Inc.
Create an interactive dynamic web based interface that allows website visitors to search EDCON-PRJ's Gravity & Magnetic data coverage on a global level.
DDS, Inc was provided with point locations of EDCON-PRJ's data coverage from which bounding polygons were created. Attribute information related to survey size and data accuracy was added to the polygons in ArcMap. The polygons were thenconverted to .kmz files. Using the Google Maps API the .kmz files are fed into a map module embedded in EDCON-PRJ's website.

Digital Data Services, Inc. (Internal Project for Marketing Purposes)
DDS wanted to create an interactive web utility, to supplement our PDF MapFinder utility which enables users to search and locate USGS 7.5 minute topographic quadrangles, USGS elevation data, aerial photography, and other datasets.
Indices were converted from ASCII table format into shapefiles using ArcGIS and Microsoft Access. Shapefiles were converted to KMZ format using Arc2Earth extension in ArcGIS. Hyperlinks for downloads and other graphic elements with information windows were processed using find and replace function in a text editor. Splash screens were designed in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
.kmz files
Approximately $1,500 of Internal Production Costs
