DDS developed import scripts and data scrapers to build a database containing millions of records that are updated daily. The web interface allows customers to define custom AOIs and search the database in a matter of seconds. Due to the size of the datasets being queried and the use of JSON database objects, DDS chose to store the database in PostgreSQL/PostGIS and develop a custom NodeJS API with a heavily customized Leaflet web interface. Periodic backend and client-side updates are made to the site, which has been online for about six years.
