Frequently Asked Questions
Do you support other cloud providers such as Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud?
At this time, we only offer our Managed ArcGIS Enterprise Services on Microsoft Azure for security purposes. We provide ArcGIS Enterprise Consulting Services for other cloud providers and internal hosting. Please get in touch with us for additional information.
Is data encrypted at rest in ArcGIS Enterprise?
Data stored in ArcGIS Enterprise databases is not encrypted at rest. However, we encrypt the underlying file system to protect sensitive data from unauthorized access in the event that physical media is compromised, stolen, or accessed without authorization.
Do you support Esri enterprise geodatabases?
Yes, at an additional cost. We recommend using ArcGIS Data Store only unless there is a specific requirement, such as Parcel Fabric or geometric networks.
Is Esri’s ArcGIS Enterprise licensing included in this pricing?
Currently, ArcGIS Enterprise licenses can only be purchased directly through Esri. We will work with you and your Esri Account Manager to configure the licensing specific to your organizational needs.
Do you allow client access to the Azure environment?
No. It is not possible to maintain a SOC II compliant tenant with client access without significant expense.
Is the Microsoft Azure tenant portable?
Yes. At the end of your subscription, we can transfer your Microsoft Azure tenant to your organization and terminate our ArcGIS Enterprise Managed Services. At which point, you would take responsibility for the maintenance and security of the ArcGIS Enterprise environment. DDS will move into a consulting role, if requested.
Can we integrate a SAML-compliant provider into ArcGIS Enterprise to support SSO?
Yes. We support the configuration of SAML 2.0-compliant identity providers into Portal for ArcGIS. The advantage of setting up a SAML provider is to provide users an SSO experience rather than managing multiple user accounts.
